In-Game Settings
This is a list of every in-game setting that you need to match before using the GamePack. If you fail to match these settings this GamePack WILL NOT WORK!
Select the active in-game Legend you're using. This setting is especially important for the automation of most M.O.D.s to function correctly.
๐ Ballistic Sling
All Legends can use two weapons at any one time (PRIMARY/SECONDARY), except for the 'Ballistic' legend who can use a third, called the 'SLING'.
For more information, go to the Weapon Profile section of The M.O.D.s section of this guide. ๐
All default button layout presets are available in this GamePack, including any custom layout you may be using.
๐ PS5 Custom Layout
If you wish to retain full Adaptive Trigger functionality on a DualSense controller, you need to set the button layout option to "PS5 Custom", and the in-game button layout must be set to "Default". You can then set your own custom buttons from Zen's OLED Menu.
๐ง Pro Tip
Playing with the Button Puncher layout is recommended as you don't have to move your thumb off the AIM stick to press the crouch button.
All default analog stick layout presets are available in this GamePack.
The "Look Deadzone" setting is a critical feature that helps maintain your in-game precision. It creates a buffer zone around the center of your analog stick, ignoring minor movements that could otherwise interfere with your gameplay.
๐ Counter Stick Drift
As you rack up hours on your controller, the analog sticks begin to show their age, often leading to a frustrating phenomenon called "stick drift." This is when your in-game aim or movement starts to wander off on its own, even though you're not touching the stick.
To Counter Stick Drift, apply these settings to both In-Game & Cronus Zen's OLED Menu:
- Adjust Look Deadzone to 'Small'.
- Set Look Sensitivity between 3-5
- For more precision during ADS, reduce Look Sensitivity [ADS] by 1. Example, if Look Sensitivity is set to 5, Look Sensitivity [ADS] should be set to 4.
If your analog sticks are in tip-top condition, for snappy and responsive controls go ahead and set the Look Deadzone to 'None'. But, to keep your gameplay smooth and precise, you might need to adjust the Look Sensitivity along with your weapon's X/Y axis settings. This way, you can ensure that every movement is deliberate and on-point, avoiding any unwanted drifts that could throw off your aim.
HIP sensitivity, labeled as 'Look Sensitivity' in-game, determines how swiftly your character turns when not aiming down sights (ADS). This setting ranges from 1 (slowest) to 8 (fastest), with 4 being a balanced choice for many players, offering a brisk turn speed without aiming.
๐ง Pro Tip
A higher HIP sensitivity results in rapid turningโideal for quick environment scans. In contrast, a lower sensitivity gives you a more deliberate turn pace, beneficial for precision when wielding short to mid-range weapons.
ADS sensitivity, labeled as 'Look Sensitivity [ADS]' in-game, determines how swiftly your character turns when aiming down sights (ADS). This setting ranges from 1 (slowest) to 8 (fastest), with 3 being a balanced choice for many players, offering a brisk turn speed while aiming.
๐ง Pro Tip
High ADS sensitivity means quicker turning which is great for tracking fast-moving targets. Lower sensitivity, on the other hand, offers more control and precision, but with a slower turning speed - ideal for maintaining steady aim or using snipers.
Typically, ADS Sensitivity is set 1 below HIP Sensitivity for optimum performance. Example, if HIP Sensitivity is set to 5, Look Sensitivity [ADS] should be set to 4.
Response curve settings shape the way your analog stick movements transform into in-game character actions. This GamePack is designed for the top choices: Classic and Linear.
๏ปฟClassic Response Curve: Here, minor stick shifts cause gradual character motion, while full stick deflections result in rapid turns. It's not linear, meaning it's not a direct stick-to-motion correlation. This choice suits players who appreciate precision with slight adjustments yet need swift reactions with larger stick motions.
Classic is the default Response Curve setting for this game.
๏ปฟLinear Response Curve: This offers a direct translation of your stick movements, making the in-game action consistent with your inputs. Minor or major stick movements produce corresponding small or big character motions, maintaining a uniform ratio. Mouse users typically prefer this, as it ensures steady, predictable movements.
Linear is the preferred choice for players who like increased camera movement. However, you should expect to have to manually enter higher Anti-Recoil X&Y values for that weapon.
๐ Advanced Look Controls (ALC)
Unfortunately, the [BEAM] algorithm does not play nice with Advanced Look Controls (ALC). Yet, even if inactive, ALC can alter game dynamics and interfere with Anti-Recoil.
To ensure optimal performance:
- Reset ALC to its default settings. Head to Settings > Controller > Advanced Look Controls and hold the VIEW/TOUCHPAD button.
- Deactivate ALC by opting for 'Custom Look Controls' and toggling it to 'OFF'.
๐ง Pro Tip
For optimal Anti-Recoil performance, set the in-game 'Per Optic Settings' to default, then turn them off. If not aligned properly, mismatches in scope sensitivity and your Look Sensitivity [ADS] can cause recoil discrepancies.
Instructions:
- In-Game Menu > Settings > Per Optic Settings
- Choose 'On'
- Press VIEW or TOUCHPAD
- Confirm with 'Yes'
- Then, select 'Off'
The Trigger Deadzone works much like the Analog Stick Look Deadzone, ignoring a specific amount of input from the triggers before responding in-game. The lower the trigger deadzone, the faster the game reacts to your inputs.
๐ง Pro Tip
To fire with the least amount of trigger pressure, select "None." Make sure it matches the in-game Trigger Deadzone setting for Anti-Recoil to function correctly.
This feature disables the physical vibration feedback you would normally feel through your controller during gameplay.
๐ Always Enable In-Game Vibration
If you disable the rumbles that are sent to your controller, it's important to know that the in-game vibration option still needs to be enabled for the M.O.D.s to run correctly.
๐ง Pro Tip
If you prefer a rumble-free experience, simply set the OLED Menu option to "Enabled" and it will prevent all physical vibrations to the controller.
This setting allows you to manually select the Anti-Recoil type to output to the game. Most users should use "Automatic" unless you would like to force a specific type of Anti-Recoil.
